Montres Allison

Slaathaug Master Calendiere

Upon opening the large, green outer box (about the same
size as a shoe box), I was pleasantly surprised to see the beautiful green
leather wallet, the green Allison box containing the watch, and the bracelet
adjustment tool all nestled in nicely.  I quickly opened the smaller green
box containing the wristwatch and... WOW!  What a beautiful and interesting
looking wristwatch!  Solid steel.  White guilloched dial.
Seven... Count 'em... SEVEN hands.  One for the day, one for the date, one
for the month, one for the 24 hour indicator, one for seconds, one for hours,
one for minutes.  The push buttons on this watch are large and are used to
operate quick set functions on the calendar functions.  The back of the
watch is engraved with the words "Alllison Slaathaug Master Calendiere"
and the number.  This is a limited edition watch.  There were only 200
pieces made and I have one of them.  I quickly unscrewed the screw down
crown and wound the watch.  I then put it on via the deployant clasp on the
steel bracelet.  The latch on the bracelet reads "MA" (I'm
assuming for Montres Allison).  It was too big.  Fortunately, I had
the bracelet adjustment tool and used it to take some links out of the bracelet
for a proper fit.  It was nice not to have to take it somewhere to have
this done and I will be able to use the tool with other watches in the
future.  This is the heaviest watch I've ever seen or held (and that
includes a number of solid gold and platinum pieces).  The back screws down
and the dial is tasteful.  To me, the watch looks like a turtle (missing
one leg).  I like this watch very much.  Preliminary testing (over one
week) show that it is keeping perfect time when tested against my Junghans
atomic watch.  The display tags and literature are all tastefully done and
really complete the package.  I give this watch a full ten points on a
scale of 1-10.  I hope you enjoy my mini review.  I have added some
info from Montres Allison below.
